Search giant Google recently offered two BITS Pilani students Rs 1.44 crore annual packages, which is the highest Google has offered anyone in the country.This offer has become the highest offer made in 2013 across country. Before IIT Kanpur students were offered 1.33 crs by Google, its time for BITS Pilani students to fetch hefty salary.

Both Thoppilan Romal Devassy and Kannan Sunder are residents of Mumbai and are studying in the seventh semester of the computer science branch in BITS. Google has also short listed another student from BITS but are yet to issue the offer letter.

There were seven technical rounds along with one written test that were held in the campus. Five rounds of technical interviews related to subject knowledge, which were conducted in Bangalore. More than 100 students appeared for placement process. Apart from Google, Facebook also visited BITS and offered three students

Mani Shankar Dasgupta, chef placement officer commented “More than 100 companies have visited so far to recruit from 327 undergraduate engineering (BE) students and 180 masters (ME) students in the first semester. About 90% students have been placed,”

Last year, Google offered Rs. 1.22crore to BITS Pilani — Rushabh Agarwal and Kunal Lad . The students were posted at the Google’s head office in Mountain View, California.
