The Department of Social Welfare, Women and Child Development, and Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh, Naharlagun which has formed an independent Department in 1992. As it was being a part of Rural Development and Social Cutural Affairs departments of arunachal pradesh government. The Department was developing many programs with state and Centrally sponsored. Arunachal Pradesh is the biggest state among the north-east india, with having an area of 83,743 sq. kms. It has also international borders with Bhutan by the west, China to the north and north-east and mynmar to the east. The agro-climatic regions among the Arunachal Pradesh would be from snow-capped mountains in the north to the plains across Brahmaputra valley in the south.

The tribal region would called Arunachal Pradesh maintains the literature of Kalika Purana and Mahabharata. This would also called to be the Prabhu Mountains of the Puranas. Panchayats were the backbone of the Indias village at the beginning of recorded history. Arunachal Pradesh government is not delaying behind as the people were managing their daily affairs in the village and community levels by the traditional village organizations by introducing their own codes and customary laws. The traditional village councils would be in existence and also being approved by the North East Frontier Administration of Justice Regulation, 1945 by the govt. of arunachal pradesh.

Education:

Education of Arunachal Pradesh government is increasing with many plans and projects which were being initiated by both state and central government. And there are local NGOs in the state which had undertaken several projects to bring awareness to the people about the importance of education in far-flung areas. The average literacy rate in Arunachal Pradesh according to 2011 census report of 66.96%

The Directorate of Economics and statistics department responsible for the proper organization of random statistical studies which are continued out in the state.

  • The major statistical activities of the directorate involves
  • Collection, compilation, tabulation and also publication of the socio-economic data which is related to the state of Andhra Pradesh
  • Includes statistics related to agriculture, rainfall, yield, industries etc.
  • And provides various censuses for national and state planning process for arunachal pradesh government.

Arunachal Pradesh State Pollution Control Board which has been contributed under provisions of the central rules, Water Act, 1974 by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh on 6th July 1993 to provide new rules in the state. By developing the concerns for environmental issues and realization for the need by safeguarding the environment from different polluting ingredients and several acts which were performed, under the purview of Environmental Protection Act, 1986 of govt of arunachal pradesh.
